Vega campers watch the 2014 yearbook

This past weekend, on Sunday, November 9th, over 200 Vega campers, staff and family members gathered in NYC for the 2014 Vega reunion.

As campers and counselors greeted one another, it was exciting to see everyone reunited.  Watching the 2014 Video Yearbook (which can be seen on our Vimeo page) brought us back to the beauty of Vega and Echo Lake, and the pure joy of spending fun, sunny days together.

Throughout the reunion there were times it seemed like we were at Vega.  If you closed your eyes, you could imagine yourself in the Dining Hall listening to friends chatting and Tamary cheering (was it that loud at camp?!); or in the Lodge enjoying the SugarKats song to Tamary; or at Marathon candlelight sing, hearing the beautiful songs the Captains wrote; or in Sunset Circle singing camp songs.  The event ended as Sunset Circle does, with the camp joining hands and singing The Sun is Sinking in the West, Taps and Friends.

Thank you for everyone for joining us yesterday!  We had the best time and hope you did too.  We missed all our friends who were not able to be there, and you were all there in spirit!

Thank you also to Location05 for having us crazy campers overrun your venue.  And thank you to Vega alum and camp parent, Jennifer Kraft of Kraft Events for helping us find such a beautiful and conducive event space.
