For several years Camp Vega has been proud supporters of the American Camp Association New England’s Camp Champions fundraiser.  Camp Champions provides Camperships for children-in-need across New England.  In 2015, 200+ children attended ACA Accredited day and overnight camps in CT, MA, ME, NH, RI & VT thanks to Camp Champions Supporters.

This year, the Vega community got more involved through a Swim-a-thon.  The Swim-a-thon offered Vega campers the chance to give back to other kids by helping to make the camp experience possible for other children. Vega campers swam as many lengths in our swim lanes as they could throughout the summer.

We kept track of the campers’ progress and are pleased to announce that Vega campers swam an incredible 1,751 laps in 2015 for the Camp Champions Swim-a-thon!  We are so proud of the girls for their efforts to help other children experience the magic of camp.
