Charlotte Leslie:

I’m Charlotte, 18 years old from Reading which is just outside London. I’ve got a younger sister. I love live music so I am very lucky that Reading is home to one of the world’s biggest music festivals. My other interests are running and baking. I will have just finished my A Levels and will be going to university in the autumn. I’m really excited about joining the team.

Aspen Schaab:

Hi! I am Aspen and I am returning after a couple years off, and I could not be more excited to return to our summer home! I am a Special Ed English teacher and the softball assistant coach at a high school in Northern Maine. After working in Outdoor Adventure and sharing my love of my hometown with the girls. I have decided to switch it up and work with Bruna in Culinary Arts! I was born and raised 10 minutes down the road from Vega, and I feel so lucky to be a part of the Vega community.

Dance

Daniela Rosales:

Hi everyone!! dani here. I’m from Guadalajara, México and this will be my 2nd summer at vega. I’m so excited already. I’m so happy to dance with you all again. See you very soon.

Digital Media

Teisha Chambers:

My name is Teisha Chambers, and I’m from the Central Coast, Australia. I currently work two jobs as a private nanny and disability support worker, and I am a full-time university student studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Screen Media and Production. I’m 19 years old and this is my first summer at Camp Vega working in the media department. Furthermore, I am looking forward to experiencing the traditions of an American summer camp and building connections with my colleagues and campers.

Equestrian

Amy Reiffer:

Hi everyone! I’m Amy and I’m from England 🙂 This summer I’ll be working as a stable hand at Vega. I’m SO excited to meet you all and make this summer the best one yet

Arantxa Taberneiro:

My name is Arantxa and I am from Venezuela, I have been riding horses since I was a child but since I am about 12 years old I practice horseback riding, I am very happy to be able to share my knowledge with other people during this summer, I am very happy to meet new people and learn from each one of them.

Amber Milliken:

Hi, my name is Amber and I’m from the Causeway Coast of Northern Ireland, I study Equine Management and enjoy spending time with my pony when at home! I will be teaching horse riding at camp and can’t wait to meet all the children and horses.

Leo Monroy:

Hiii!! My name is Leo (Leonardo) I’m 23 years old, I’m going to be in the equestrian team, I’m from Mexico and for this summer I hope we have a great time full of good moments and having new friends!

Laura Colburn:

Hello, I’m Laura Colburn, a horseback riding instructor from Minnesota. This will be my 4th summer at Camp Vega. When I started at Vega I would have never been able to guess the impact it’s had on my life. I’m looking forward to seeing great old friends, making new ones, and having another great summer! Remember, keep your heels down, toes up, and just keep riding forward!

Georgina Chapman:

Hi I’m Georgina and I’m from Essex in England. This is my first summer at camp and I’m so excited to meet everyone and have the best summer.

Fanni Talaber:

Hii My name is Fanni and I’m from Hungary. I’ve been riding for a long time and I’m really excited to be a part of the equestrian team. I can’t wait to teach horse riding and have a fun time with all of you. Prepare your riding shoes for the summer!

Penelope Allen:

Hi there! I’m Penelope and I’m from the UK. I am currently studying at Newcastle University. I shall be returning to Camp Vega for my 2nd summer and will be working in the Equestrian centre. I can’t wait to see you all!!

Fine Arts

Maya Sigmon:

Hey Vega! I am Maya aka Siggy and this is my 4th summer at vega. I am currently a preschool teacher in Baltimore, Maryland. I will be a part of the FINEST art department. I am looking forward to all of the crafts we will be making this summer . I’m so excited for another amazing summer!!!

Orla Hale:

Hello my name is Orla and this is my second year at Vega and I am so excited for this summer. My favourite part of Vega is cook outs every week with my bunk when we make s’mores and sing round the fire

Maite Cepeda:

Hi!!! My name is Maite Cepeda, i’m from Mexico City and i’m so so excited to be working at camp this summer! I’ll be in the fine arts department:) My hobbies include running, painting, movies and reading! I am algo a medical student hoping to become a pediatrician one day !

Fitness

Olivia Gill:

My name is Olivia and I am from Stirling, Scotland. I am 19 years old and am so excited to start my adventure at camp. I will be teaching as a fitness/yoga instructor and also have many other strengths in activities such as dance and gymnastics too! I hope everyone else is just as excited as I am because this will be the best summer to remember!

General Counselors

Gabriella Rodriguez:

Hello Vega! I’m Gabriella Rodriguez,I’m from Colombia, and currently finishing as an industrial engineer in college. This summer, I’m thrilled to embark on a new adventure as a counselor at Vega. I’m eagerly looking forward to a fun and unforgettable summer for all the girls and make lasting memories.

Ane Escobar:

I’m Ane Escobar and this will be my first year working at Camp Vega. I study primary education and pedagogy and I always knew that I wanted to do something related to children, as they are my passion. I am from Madrid, Spain and I am very excited to live this experience. My position will be as a general counselor so we will be able to enjoy a lot of time together. Soon we will get to know each other better since there is less time left before the adventure begins

Ashley Van Rensselaer:

My name is Ashley Van Rensselaer. I live in Virginia in the United States. I am a General Counselor for Vega. I am looking forward to meeting so many new people and spending the summer by a lake in Maine!

Izzy Stone:

Hi I’m Izzy and I’m from NE England! I am 18 and currently on a gap year after finishing my A Levels last year and I’m going to be starting a Bachelor’s degree in Geography in October. I am so excited to meet everyone this summer.

Gymnastics

Caro Silva:

I’m Caro Silva. I’m from Mexico City, I will be working in the gymnastics department. I was a gymnast for about ten years before the pandemic happened and now I’m studying Film in Barcelona and I can’t wait to be back in Vega

Amy Campbell:

Hi everyone! My name is Amy and I’m 18 years old from Ireland. I love playing sport and listening to music. I hope to go to university in September to study law. This will be my first summer working at Camp Vega and I am so excited to join the team and meet all you campers!

Ice Skating

Amara Khota:

Landsports

Amelia Neill:

Hey I’m Amelia, I’m from Christchurch New Zealand and returning for my third summer at Vega! I’m the field hockey coach down at landsports. I’m excited to reunite with everyone. But I’m also excited to celebrate my favorite day at camp, 4th of July! The countdown is on!

Tahlia Goodall:

Hi there, my name is Tahlia and I will be working as a counselor at Vega this summer!! I’m from Melbourne Australia and I’m most excited to experience life in another country. I love sports and hanging out with friends but I can’t wait to meet and spend summer with all of you!

Erkuden Camiruaga:

I’m Erkuden, but my friends call me Erku and I am from the north of Spain. I will be working as a lacrosse counselor this summer and I am really looking forward to it!

Marian Fernandez:

Hello!! I’m Marian. I’m from Spain. I have studied primary school and pedagogy. I love children. I am very excited to participate in this experience. I will be one of the landsport counselors. I hope to enjoy a lot, learn and make all the campers very happy. See you very soon!!

Music

Lily Bowen:

I’m Lily, I’m from the south coast of England and I am very excited to join you all at Camp Vega as a Music Counsellor this summer! I started performing at the age of 4 and am currently studying for a BA (Hons) in Performing Arts. I’m most looking forward to making music with you all. It will be great to get to know everyone and make memories that’ll last a lifetime.

Outdoor Adventure

Linet Mussiwa

I am Linet Musungwa from Zimbabwe. l am studying International Business Management at Warsaw Management in Poland. My role at the camp is outdoor adventure counselor. l look forward to having lots of fun and participating in all activities!

Evie Longhorn:

Hi! I’m Evie and I’ll be coming from the UK. I really enjoy running and board games and I can’t wait to see you guys soon!

Victoria Cotter:

Hi! Im Victoria and this will be my second summer back at Vega (I’m so excited). I’m from Dublin, Ireland. When I’m not at Vega I’m probably studying, I’m in my second year of medical school. I can’t wait to spend my summer biking along Echo Lake and seeing everyone again!

Ropes

Maria Mohammed:

Hi! I’m Maria and I am so excited to be the new ropes counselor this summer 2024. I am a biomed graduate from Sheffield, UK and I am looking forward to my (hopefully) first of many summers at Vega! I can’t wait to have an incredible summer doing fun activities and making new friends I hope to keep for life! See you soon!!

Evie Woodings:

I’m Evie, I’m 20 and I’m from the UK. I can’t wait to come to Camp and have the best summer ever! I’ll be in the Ropes department and I’m so excited to meet everyone.

Julia Repeta:

Hey everyone! My name is Julia and I am from Massachusetts! This will be my second summer at Vega, but first time in Ropes! I am beyond excited to get back on Echo Lake. A fun fact about me is that I was in a horse circus! I am most excited for Funtown Splashtown this year!

Theater

David Manterola:

Hola! My name is David, I’m from Guadalajara, Mexico. This would be my second year working at vega, so stoked to be back! I’ll be working in theater. I love movies, arts, and pizza day!

Ana Kelem:

Hello there!  I’m Ana, a 21 year old theater enthusiast who loves to enjoy nature and meeting new people. Right now I’m studying a degree in Entertainment Business Management and my dream is to create unforgettable and immersive experiences for everyone. In my free time, I like to sing, go out with friends and discover new places. I am very happy to join the Camp Vega team as a counselor and I can’t wait to meet each and every one of you. Small Crafts

Charlotte Summerfield:

Kia ora, my name is Charlotte Summerfield and I’m from New Zealand. This will be my first time at Camp Vega and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m super into surfing and water sports so looking forward to being a part of the small water-crafts team. Very excited to start this new experience. Can’t wait!!

Ane Olazar:

Hi! I’m Ane, the watersports lover that will be part of the sailing team! I’m from Spain and I can’t wait to start the adventure at Camp Vega and meet each of you 🙂

Swim

Andrea Ventura:

Hello everyone! My name is Andrea. I’m 20 years old currently, but by the time you see me I’ll be 21. I come from Mexico and I’m in my third year of my architecture degree. I’ll be your counselor and I’m also in the swimming department!! This will be my first year at Camp Vega and I couldn’t be more excited to meet all of you!

Ella Fitzgerald:

My name is Ella Fitzgerald and this is my first year at Vega and I’m going to be a swimming instructor. A bit about me, I am 18, from Junee, rural NSW, Australia. I have just completed highschool and am currently on a gap year before I go to university in 2025, to do a double degree of exercise and health science and psychological science. Here in Australia, I am a lifeguard at my local pool, and also work at a gym.

Crisley Rosario:

Hey! I’m Crisley, and I’m from the Dominican Republic. Right now, I’m at college pursuing a BA in Creative Advertising. With a passion for creativity and a love for the water, I can’t wait to share my skills and enthusiasm with campers, fostering their confidence and joy in swimming. And I’m getting more than ready for an unforgettable summer filled with laughter, learning, and endless aquatic adventures at Vega!

Savannah Todd:

Hi there! I’m Savannah and I am from the UK. I am currently studying psychology at the University of Lincoln and will be headed to Camp Vega for the first time this summer to work as a swim instructor. I can’t wait to meet everyone and have an awesome summer!

Waterski

Casey Herbert:

Kia Ora!! (Hello in Te Reo Māori) I’m Casey, or a nickname – Case 🙂 I’m a kiwi girl through and through from New Zealand way down at the bottom of the world! At home I’m a preschool teacher aid, CrossFit Coach and Volunteer FireFighter and at camp I’m part of the Water Ski team. I am so excited to see everyone again for my second year at Vega!

Louis Andrews:

Hey! I’m Louis from New Zealand and this will be my second summer at Vega! You’ll find me out on the water at Waterski, by far my favorite place to hang out at camp! I’m beyond excited for Olympics this summer! Bring it on!

Rebecca Marioni:

My name is Rebecca and I am from Perth, Western Australia. I am currently an Occupational Therapist working in the hospital setting. I love helping and working with people to achieve their goals and enjoy assisting people to find meaning in their day to day activities. I have a passion for travel and am taking a year off to explore South America, US and Canada. I can’t wait to come to camp Vega, where my role is as a water ski coach.

Grace Haines:

Hi everyone! My name is Gracie and this will be my 8th summer at Vega, second as staff! You can find me, yet again at waterski! I’m from outside of Philly but I go to High Point University in North Carolina. I can’t wait to see all of your smiling faces!

Madeline Winters:

My name is Madeline (Maddie) and I’m from the Central Coast of NSW Australia. While home I work as a waitress in a fine dining restaurant and In my spare time I tend to go to the beach. I’m 19 years old and this will be my second year at camp and I’ll be working in the waterski department again. I’m super excited to see all the girls again and hear what they’ve been up to since last summer. I am also excited to meet all the new staff and see them grow and love camp just as much as I do! Amali North

My name is Amali. I am 18 years old and I am from Melbourne, Australia. This summer I am looking forward to working in waterski. This is my first year at camp and I can’t wait to experience everything Vega has in store this summer. I have recently graduated high school and in the future I am going to university where I aim to gain a degree in science. In my spare time I enjoy going camping and wakeboarding and I am looking forward to sharing this passion with you all this summer!

Riley Tyson:

Kiaora! My name is Riley, I am 18 and from the epic Christchurch, New Zealand!! I am passionate about all things outdoor and adventure, and I can not wait to spend summer at Vega. I have just recently finished high school, so what better way to do a gap year then getting a bit of life experience! I will be working in the water ski department, and am so stoked to spend my summer out on Echo lake with all of you!

Leandro Penaranda:

My name is Leandro, I am from Colombia, I am a musician by profession and I like extreme sports. I am a waterski counselor and I have been practicing and teaching this wonderful activity at Camp Vega for 2 years. I like to give my best and try to bring out the best in people, always with perseverance and respect, enjoying the process at every moment. My favorite activities are enjoying nature in quiet spaces, meeting new people, making new friends, making and listening to music, having great moments with everybody, and of course practicing and teaching waterski.

Isabaella Robson:

Hi! My name is Isabaella (but everyone calls me Bella) and I’m from New Zealand! This is going to be my first year at camp and I am so excited to be a waterski instructor. I have just graduated with a Marketing degree so I am ready for a year away from study full of travel and new experiences. I look forward to meeting everyone and everything Camp Vega has in store!!
