We constantly strive to find ways to improve the Vega Experience for campers and staff each summer. During the summer we are flooded with the support of phenomenal staff to ensure every day is a success. During the off-season, the winter office is manned by Kyle and Emily… until now. Effective summer 2015, we welcome Anthony Pyatt to the year-round team as Operations Director! This will be Anthony’s 10th summer at Vega. During this time, he has obtained his Bachelor’s in Education from Missouri State University and for the past 4 years has served as Managing Director for a private, non-profit school in Austin, Texas. Here’s a little note from him:

Hello Vegans,

I can’t begin to explain how excited I am to be joining the year-round team! For the past nine years, I, like most staff have made the commitment to leave the “real world” and immerse myself for 2-3 months in the “extraordinary world”. Starting in the Theater Department for 4 years, 3 as Department Head, I was fortunate to get to know all the wonderful players that crossed the Vega stage. In 2010, I made the move in to the office, hoping my powers of organization would be of benefit.

Moving in to my 6th year in the office, I am so excited to put everything I have learned to use and find ways to support Vega in its unending goal of making itself a second home for hundreds of girls each year. To staff, having come in to this organization during college not knowing anyone (like most of you), and making lifelong friends with many, I am looking forward to finding and implementing practices that will make your experience the best possible from beginning to end, whether you’re a veteran or coming to Vega for the first time!

I am so grateful to Kyle, Emily and Linda for giving me this opportunity and for letting me take my affinity for thinking and planning for “next summer” to the next level.

After he closes up things in Texas, Anthony will be making the move up north and begin his full-time post effective April, 27th.
