Everything you have imagined and fantasized about spending summers in the State of Maine becomes reality as soon as you arrive at Vega. In fact, as you proceed the 1.5 miles down Echo Lake Road along the shores of pristine Echo Lake, the natural surroundings take your breath away, and the way we have developed the landscape and physical buildings at camp enhances this natural beauty. It is easy to understand why there are so many smiles and laughter throughout camp.
Our outdoor facilities are outstanding. Our paths are wide and well maintained, and our courts and fields have been ranked above even many collegiate fields. Our main soccer field is fully irrigated and Echo Lake is clearly visible just beyond. This provides a beautiful backdrop and environment for your daughters to learn and play field sports. Our 11 tennis courts are immaculate and the girls meet before lessons on our spacious and shaded Tennis Gazebo. In fact, we have scenic gazebos placed throughout our campus that provide the girls with special meeting places. Our on-site Equestrian Center is comprised of a large, modern and well-maintained barn and 2 adjacent riding rings with sandy footing, well-constructed jumps and breakaway safety fencing. We provide all of the equipment needed for outdoor activities and well-trained staff to help your girls to have fun and develop skills, confidence and self-esteem.
All our indoor facilities and living spaces for your girls were carefully designed and built to bring the outdoor beauty into the buildings where your daughters learn and do many activities. From our sky-lit dining room to our glass-walled dance, art and gymnastics buildings to our magnificent Lovejoy Health Center, the attention to details that enhance your daughters’ experiences are apparent.
Whether your girls are being taught to water ski behind our fleet of inboard competition Mastercraft ski boats, or are in our enormous gymnasium, the emphasis is always on using the best quality equipment while organizing everything to ensure the safety of our campers.
