What was the hardest part about summer 2020: being unable to go out and have nothing to do at home. It was really boring until I started to learn how to ride a bike.

Something you learned during the pandemic/summer 2020: I learned from the pandemic is t0 value every moment of my life, to do things the best and enjoy them, and to consume responsibly.
What are you most excited for Vega 2021: Of the things that excite me it’s the experience as a Staff in Camp Vega, being part of the organization in the kitchen, to serve the campers and also knowing Echo Lake, which looks amazing.

Hobbies/favorite activities: I enjoy sports a lot but my favorite is volleyball, I also like to make new friends and see new places.
What was the hardest part about summer 2020: The hardest thing about summer 2020 was not being able to go to camp, but I took advantage of this vacation to do new things, like learning new recipes, reading books, missing my friends too much, but nothing that a video call couldn’t fix.
Something new that I learned during the pandemic/summer 2020: I learned how to make cookies, as well as cakes and muffins, which to tell the truth were delicious, I also learned to exercise at home, I was able to walk my dog much more often (it is not new but it is something I really enjoyed), and I also enjoyed much more family time.
What are you most excited for for Vega 2021: What excites me the most is being able to meet new people, that I know that more than friends we will be a family as the camp says, I am excited about obtaining new experiences that I know will be unforgettable and together with incredible people, the truth is that excites me too much and I can’t wait to live this new experience in the company of the whole family that makes up Camp Vega.

What was the hardest part about summer 2020: The hardest part was feeling uncertain about the future. Everything changed so fast, but focusing on one thing at a time helped getting through the year.
Something new that I learned during the pandemic/summer 2020: I learned how special it is to check in on others and yourself!! Showing love to my people even through zoom!
What are you most excited for Vega 2021: I’m so excited to travel all the way from Veracruz Mexico to Camp Vega, meet all the campers, all the staff, have an amazing summer and make great memories together. Can’t wait!!

Hobbies/favorite activities: One of my favorite activities to do is to ride a bike. Also, I like to go to the cinema and walk through the streets of my city with my friends. However, I also enjoy being at home playing video games with my family. I love watching series and movies!
What was the hardest part about Summer 2020: For me, the hardest part was to be far apart from my friends. I love them and I missed them so much. Some of them went through difficult times and I couldn’t be next to them.
Something new that I learned during the pandemic/summer 2020: I learned so much about myself during these times and I am really grateful for that. I realized how much my parents love me, the way they take care of themselves so I can be safe and healthy. Furthermore, I learned to live in the moment, that I don’t have to hide my feelings any more, that I don’t have to waste my time and that it is important to hug, to laugh, to smile and to feel happiness and love!!
What are you most excited for Vega 2021: To demonstrate to myself that I’m capable of make my dreams come true!! And to give me the chance of a new beginning, full of happiness, love and tolerance! ❤️
