November is “Movember” at Camp Vega

Dear Vega,

Happy Movember!  That’s right, we said Movember!  This year I, Kyle Courtiss, was convinced to grow a mustache during the month of November as part of the “Movember” movement to raise awareness and funds for men’s health.

The Movember vision is to “have an ever lasting impact on the face of men’s health.”  Each year during the month of November hundreds of thousands of men around the world participate.  Men grow and women support the mustache for 30 days – no matter how ridiculous it looks!

Over 3 million participants have raised over $446 million to date.  In 2012 in the U.S., 209,000 men and women participated in Movember and raised over $21 million.  We watched many of our friends participate last year, and are excited to be a part of it in 2013.

To follow my Movember experience or donate to the Movember Foundation, visit my Movember page (http://us.movember.com/mospace/8039921).   To learn more about the Movember Foundation and why men’s health awareness is an important cause (including some startling statistics about the prevalence of prostate and testicular cancer), visit the Movember website, or Movember USA’s Facebook Page, or start your own ‘stache!

Your donation will support world-class men’s health programs that combat prostate and testicular cancer. These programs, directed by the Movember Foundation, are focused on awareness and education, living with and beyond cancer, and research to achieve our vision of an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health. The Movember Foundation is a registered, tax exempt Section 501(c)(3) charity.

I will keep you posted as my ‘stache takes shape over the next month.  Thank you for your support!

Kyle
