Staying Connected #12 – Camp Vega is (and will always be) your Summer Home

Dear Vega,

More than anything, we miss your faces, your smiles and your hugs.  The magic of Vega has been passed on through generations of relationships and traditions and we will not let this summer off of Echo Lake change that. We are committed to continuing to enrich and bring our Vega community together from afar, and we will always uphold our Vega values, no matter where we are!

In the near future we will be sharing our Summer 2020 (Virtual) Events Calendar with 2020 Vega families and staff. There will be a variety of ways to engage, all of them optional, from live chats with age groups and departments, to activity lesson videos, to fun camp ideas to do at home. If you have any ideas or activities you would like to see, please send in suggestions!

In addition, should your summer travels bring you to Maine, we would be excited to have you and your families stop by and visit with us at Vega. To be clear, while we are unable to offer any sleeping accommodations or family programming for the same reasons that prevented us from opening, we should be able to welcome a limited number of visitors practicing physical distancing on any given day and with prior approval from us. Thank you for your understanding and please reach out if you think you may be in Maine this summer.

We look forward to staying in touch this summer and hearing how you are spending your days during this challenging, but memorable time. And speaking of memories, we hope you enjoy this video that reminds us that Vega is, and will always be, your summer home.

With Love,
Kyle and Emily

P.S. Thank you to our videographer, Mr. José “Pina” Cueva, for the beautiful video.  We miss you.
