Happy New Year Camp Vega – we are so excited for this summer to begin!  The days are finally getting longer and many camp staff members are working to make this summer the best yet.  While the facilities team at camp has been quite busy with extensive lodge renovations, the rest of the Vega team has been busy planning.

One of these plans is an update to the Fine Arts Department program with the addition of Woodworking!  In order to implement the safest and most fun new woodworking program, we are partnering with Maplewoodshop.  Natalia (Department Head) and Vega’s Fine Arts crew have begun Maplewoodshop’s extensive training program to teach kids of all ages how to use these special tools safely and to build a variety of projects throughout the summer.

The Fine Arts department is ever evolving and we are looking forward to seeing the new creations that everyone comes up with!  Many of us may not realize the benefits of creating Fine Art projects and we are excited that this new program option will lead any interested girls to find even more joy, pride, creativity and confidence this summer.
