Be a part of #VegaGivesBack!

Dear Vega, The holiday season is here, and for many around the world, that means giving back to those who are not so fortunate.  During the summer the Vega community often discusses the importance of appreciation and helping others.  We recognize how lucky we are to be a part of such a wonderful camp and community, and we get so much joy giving girls such amazing summer camp experiences. We want to continue that spirit of gratitude and generosity, which is so beautifully present this time of year. Many of you are familiar with the Dunk Your Kicks program through the Max Cure Foundation, which collects used sneakers to help fund research for pediatric cancer.  For the past two summers Vega campers and staff have generously donated hundreds of pairs of sneakers to Dunk Your Kicks.  The Max Cure Foundation relies not only on sneaker donations, but on monetary donations as well.We know that Vega campers, alumni and staff are kind and generous and we want to help you find a way to help others through your connection with Vega.  We are challenging all of you, the extended Vega family, to help us donate to the Max Cure Foundation. All you have to do is take a picture of yourself (Vega wear optional!) doing something charitable this holiday season and post it to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #VegaGivesBack.

For every #VegaGivesBack picture we receive until January 15, 2015, Vega will donate $10 to the Max Cure Foundation.  So, for every good deed, you are able to help twice!
