Dear Vega,

Happy New Year – yeah, Vega 2017!  It is funny how many people ask us after we tell them we are summer camp directors, “so, what do you do in the winter?”  Well, we have been busier than ever this year getting ready for camp.  While Emily has been busy getting to know prospective and first year campers, Kyle and Anthony have been busy interviewing a plethora of potential staff members.  We have been getting some phenomenal applicants to consider, and have one of the highest return rates ever for staff this year!

Also, keep an eye out for the 2017 Camp Spot catalogs, which we hope will be in the mail in the next week or so.  We will also be activating forms and information on Camp in Touch  very soon as well, so stay tuned!

Meanwhile, up at camp the Scott B. and Tiger have been busy as well!  We mentioned the new ropes pagoda earlier in the fall, and now we are happy to show you some impressive progress on a new staff cabin pictured here.  The building is located between the Vega Outback Trail and Equestrian Center, and will provide some much needed additional housing for staff.
