As the summer season approaches quickly, the Tennis Department continues to improve its program to better contribute to the development of each camper’s commitment to their tennis skills in an atmosphere of competition.

By hosting a USTA sanctioned tournament, these competitive players have the opportunity to put to use all the hard work they put in throughout the entire year.

In addition to the USTA tournaments, we also have several non-USTA tennis tournaments as well as an invitational with other camps for competitive tennis players regardless of USTA membership.

If your daughter wants to participate in match-play at Vega this summer, she does not need to be a USTA member. If she is, or wants to be a USTA member, there are a few USTA tournaments that you can register for.

As a USTA member, your daughter(s) can register for any of all of the following tournaments:

Camp Vega – Fayette, ME

Camp Vega Girls 12, 14, 16 Level 7

Tournament Date = July 13-14

Entries Close = July 8

Maine Pines Racquet and Fitness Club – Brunswick, ME

Maine Pines 12, 14, 16, 18 Level 7

Entries Close = July 10

Racket & Fitness Center – Portland, ME

Maine Summer Open at the Fore River Fields 12, 14, 16, 18 Level 6

Tournament Date = August 2,3,4

Entries Close = July 28
